| John C. Martin |

John C. Martin was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. In 1985, he graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Real Estate & Finance, and later that same year, began his career in the title insurance industry. In 1990, he relocated his family to El Paso, Texas, where he continued his career in title insurance as a Regional Manager for a major national title underwriter. In 1999, he founded Lone Star Title Company of El Paso, and in 2007, founded Camino Real Abstract and Title. Let John serve all of your West Texas and Southern New Mexico title insurance needs!

Don Hughes is the Senior Vice President of Lone Star Title of El Paso. He is responsible for all areas of business development and commercial marketing, as well as assisting in title examination and underwriting matters for all of the escrow staff. Don is a native of El Paso, and has been in the title industry since 1985. He holds a business degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and works at Lone Star Title's main office located at 601 N. Mesa in downtown El Paso.

Mark Gilbert is an Executive Vice President and Escrow Officer of Lone Star Title. He's originally from Baltimore, Maryland, but was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he attended Highland High School. Mark attended the University of New Mexico and graduated in 1967 with a Master of Architecture degree. Mark began his career in the Escrow Industry in 1998 and has worked with Lone Star Title since it's beginning. Mark's experience includes owning "The Mortgage Corporation" from 1986-1998. He is married and has a daughter.

Charlie Birkelbach, Vice President Business Development, is a native El Pasoan, having graduated from Austin High School and UTEP with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Charlie has been active in commercial real estate for the past 30 years with several large development companies, real estate trusts, and investment companies. He has been with Lone Star Title since 2003.

Irma Rivera started her career in the escrow industry in 1992 and has been with Lone Star Title since 2000. She is a Vice President and the branch manager in our Gateway East office. Irma is married and has a son and a daughter. She graduated from Ysleta High School and attended El Paso Community College.

Evelyn Sims is the Branch Manager of our Lee Trevino Office, and has been in the title industry since 1995. She has been with Lone Star Title of El Paso since 2000, and specializes in resale transactions and builder closings. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Upper Iowa University. Jennifer Kilmer is a Vice President of Lone Star Title, and manages the Lone Star Agent program. She is a life-long resident of El Paso, graduating from Austin High School. She began her career in Escrow and Title with her parents, George and Dona Kilmer, in 1979, and now has many years of experience in the title industry. Jennifer is member of the El Paso Chorale, and is married and has two wonderful children.

Tirey Smith was born in Silver City, New Mexico, and raised in El Paso. He is a graduate of Hanks High School and The University of Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in government. Tirey has been with Lone Star Title since 2002, and is the branch manager at our new Zaragosa office.

Melinda Skillern is the Branch Manager of our West Office, and a native El Pasoan. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where she received her BBA degree in 1999. In addition, she graduated from the SMU School of Law in 2002, where her studies specialized in real estate law. After practicing law in Dallas, she pursued her interests in the Texas title insurance industry. Prior to moving to El Paso and joining Lone Star Title, Ms. Skillern served as a vice president and closing officer for Allegiance Title Company, a subsidiary of First American Title, in Dallas Texas. Melinda is licensed with the State Bar of Texas and she is active with the Texas Land Title Association.
